Our privacy promise is simple: After activation, PetroInk does not need the internet to save, lint, or export your work.

Data Collection

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to process your purchase and issue a license. This includes:

• Your email address (for delivering the serial key and receipt)
• Payment information (processed securely via Stripe; we do not store full credit card details)

Local Storage

PetroInk operates primarily offline. All manuscript files are stored locally on your hard drive. We do not sync, read, or upload your writing to any servers. The built-in grammar tools and optional writing assistant features run completely on-device.

Activation

The application only connects to our servers during initial activation to verify your serial key. After this, it can remain offline indefinitely.

Third-party Services

We use Stripe to process payments. Their privacy policy applies to the payment transaction.
